This week's musical exploration is sports inspired. Did you know that performing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” is a 7th inning stretch tradition that originated with the Chicago Cubs? If you are missing baseball season right now or any sports, here are some links to different renditions of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” along with some other sports favorites.

Week of 3/23
Hi everyone.
I hope you’re staying well and are working hard. I miss all of you so much.
This week we’ll go on a virtual field trip to the Cloisters. It’s my favorite museum. After visiting the museum create a piece of art work that would fit in the collection at the Cloisters. The possibilities are endless. Weaving with yarn or paper, an illuminated manuscript, paint or use crayons or markers a scene from the Bible. Use salt dough to create a scupture(the recipe is below). Use what you have at home and get creative. Please send me pictures, I can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you. Enjoy our museum trip. Stay well and safe.
Salt dough.
Here’s the recipe …
2 cups flour (plus more for rolling out)
1 cup salt
3/4 to 1 cup of water (more or less).
Mix salt and flour together. Add water a tablespoon at a time
Place on cookie sheet and bake at 250 for about 2 hours
Week of 3/16
How about creating a collage or sculpture using recyclable materials. Cardboard, newspaper, magazines, egg cartons, plastic bottles, can, cardboard tubes etc.
I can’t wait to see what you create. Tweet your works of art.
Have fun and stay well.
