Pre-K 3: Sneezy The Snowman- students will listen to story time of the book "Sneezy the Snowman" then create a masterpiece of their own Sneezy using paper, tissue paper, glue sticks, and assemble their own project.
Polar Bear Print art- Using white paint students will do the "fold and rub" method to create a print then use paper cutouts to assemble the face of a polar bear on their masterpiece
Pre-K 4: Winter Trees- Using different medias to create a winter masterpiece featuring a pine tree in snow- identifying shapes, colors, and new techniques- paper layering, crayons, and painting with q-tips
Sneezy The Snowman- students will listen to story time of the book "Sneezy the Snowman" then create a masterpiece of their own Sneezy using paper, tissue paper, glue sticks, and assemble their own project.
Kinder: "If It Snowed Colors" - Students will use watercolors to create colorful snowmen based off their own creative ideas of what it would look like if it snowed colors.
1st: Jim Dine (artist) inspired Hearts- Using a mixed media of tissue papers and charcoal students will make their own pop-art heart inspired by famous artist Jim Dine
2nd: Winter Walrus (Cool colors Highlight)- Students will follow a tutorial guide on shape for animal portrait outline then create a winter masterpiece focusing on the use of cool colors.
3rd: Donut Paints- Students will finish their donut pop- they will use paint and bright colored paper layering.
4th: Round Winter Landscapes- Students will create a winter landscape within a circle showcasing depth and perspective while using color layering, ink, watercolors, and crayons.
5th: Tin Foil Prints featuring Zentangle Designs- Students will use stencils to create unique designs, fill spaces with Zentangle designs as well as patterns, recognize void spaces and make colorful prints to press onto their artwork to fill in the void areas.
6th: Catching Snowflakes (self portrait)- Students will paint a self portrait of them catching snowflakes on their tongues.
7th: Chocolate Box- Students will use oil pastels on black backgrounds to create the inside of an assorted box of chocolates.
8th: Let Them Eat Cake- Students will work on perspective and shape design to make a layered cake of their own design.
